Cantautore goes Jazz
He was one of the first and will remain one of the greatest Cantautori: Lucio Dalla from Bologna. His encounter with the 30 year younger Reto Burrell was a coincidence, but made sense: The man from Lucerne is one of the best Swiss singer-songwriters, which he proved at this «unplugged»-concert. Both defined in very different ways what they shared: the art of song. Both understood as their trade to playfully make music: Dalla combined the timeless Italian Canzone with influences from pop and jazz to disco, Burrell builds on the foundation of solid American country-rock.
